I have a SWFA fixed 12 power scope with 30mm tube on my AR rifle shooting 223. When I purchased the scope from SWFA it came with some scope rings so that is what I used to mounted the scope. I seem to be getting some unpredictable accuracy shooting out 100 yards, some good groups and some not so good with some match ammo and some reloads. I know the rifle is only as good as the dummy behind the trigger. Has anyone used these rings with any success? Also if anyone has any suggestions on some rings that would be a better option that would be great. Thanks.

I had one of their fixed powered 10x42 scopes and their rings on my MK12 for a bit. Didn’t have any issues from what I remember, but they were swapped out for some ARMS #22 pretty quickly. You could try lapping the rings and checking the torque on your ring screws. Good luck. ARMS #22 are oldschool and probably to low for your application. Try some badger ordnance high rings.
Also, it may very well be your rifle. What are you running here? Could have something weird going on if you’re getting some decent groups and then not. Maybe a gas issue?
It’s an AR15 that I built myself. Has a ballistic advantage barrel 16” in .223 wylde 1-8 twist. I had a radical firearms on it originally and was have the same issues. I thought it was the barrel but now I am seeing the same inconsistency with the BA barrel.
In times like these, especially with so few details, pictures help immensely.
In general, SWFA fixed power scopes are very dependable. The rings, no idea, but I never mount optics on ARs with rings either - so, again, pictures will help.
Next, do you have any rifles that shoot well? I'm pointing no fingers, but will also tell you someone wanders in every few weeks blaming 5 scopes on 5 guns - all with the same shooter, all having the same accuracy problems - and insist it is the gear. As the old saying goes, if one day you meet an asshole, you met an asshole. If everyone you meet is an asshole, you are the asshole.
Could be gun.
Could be ammo.
Could be optic.
Could be mount.
Could be shooter.
To get to the issue, we gotta eliminate several of these possibilities.
