Rifle Scopes SWFA Low Price Guarantee.

Re: SWFA Low Price Guarantee.

I have no idea about their 110% price guarantee but I will say that SWFA took care of me when I dealt with them about 6 months ago.

I attempted to use the website to buy a scope from the sample list in conjunction with the "sniper's hide" discount code and it would not work. I contacated SWFA by PM on the site here and instead was offered a new scope(same make & model) for slightly more than the sample list & 10% discount. I was glad to take the new scope and pay nearly the same.

I have nothing but good things to say about SWFA, they really seem to take care of hide members.

I got joked on by their trade in thing too.

I try to go elsewhere since then, but that's just me.

Because the question was raised about SWFA labels on the rings.

Let's hear what you wanted to trade and what we offered. If we have a problem in our trades department that needs to be addressed I need ammunition.

ETA: Had PM correspondance with El Gordo and offered extremely detailed reasoning for the dollar amount of our offer and he has agreed that our offer was fair and edited his original post. Thanks Gordo

Re: SWFA Low Price Guarantee.

You guys crack me up... They're trade in offer is just that, an offer. If you don't like it, you're not obligated to take it.

I guess no one has ever traded in a car before. Lol

Ditto.

Re: SWFA Low Price Guarantee.

The complaints I often see with people complaining about their trade in offer is people wanting a new price for their used scope and mad when they won't pay it. Honestly it's used, and they have to make a profit on it, so don't expect a new price. If you get half of what they cost new, you made out great imo. I've bought a few scopes used and gotten trade in offers, and they have been higher than what I paid for the scopes. Other times not so, but they have been reasonable considering that they have to make money on it to. I wish people would sell scopes to me on a daily bases for what most people pay for trade in.

Re: SWFA Low Price Guarantee.

A while ago I filled out the form for a trade-in for a S&B PMII 4-16x50 w/GEN2 XR reticle and the offer was somewhere around $1600.

I choked, but chalked it up to the person who made the "offer" not knowing exactly what the scope was.

Found yours Jeff. You bought a 10x42 HD from us for $759.95 and wanted to trade it back in several months later, we offered you $600.00 for it on trade. Regardless of its condition it has to be sold as used and put on the SampleList where the same scope sells for $699.95. That makes us a 14% margin of which the credit card company gets 3% for processing the transaction.

If this is not the one you joked on was it the Falcon that we just passed on? At that time we did not sell Falcon and did not have a grasp on their values, new or used and $200. seemed too high for us.

We don't expect everyone to understand the ins and outs of running a business and we certainly never intend to offend anyone with our offers. If you do not agree or have some more information as to why something is worth more then hit us back.

Re: SWFA Low Price Guarantee.

SWFA has always treated me good.

I emailed them about some scope ring heights. One of their guys actually went down to the warehouse with a set of calipers and measured rings for me to get an exact measurement. Thats service.

My only complaint would be an "In Stock" / "Out of Stock" indicator on items

Re: SWFA Low Price Guarantee.

I guess my expectations were a little high. I don't think I made them up though.

Several months later? I didn't have that scope several months. I wasn't impressed with the glass and turrets and sold it here on the hide soon after I bought it. Maybe the wrong Jeff?

If you are happy with your offer you got nothing to complain about. I didn't.

Business is business, right? There are lots of people wanting it and you obviously don't need mine. I don't get that from other businesses.

Bottom line is I am NOT going to argue with a business over my dollars. That is NOT the way to get my business. If you want my dollars you have to earn them and there is much competition. I can spend them on a whim if I want to so that just makes your job even harder in my case. Like I said, I don't get that from other businesses. Thanks for reminding me, it has been a while.

I still like your site for the pictures.

P.S. I am not in any way suggesting how others might spend their dollars. I won't offend me one bit if they spend them with SWFA. Carry on.

Re: SWFA Low Price Guarantee.

I have traded in several scopes with swfa. As far as what used scopes go for, they where only about $25 to $40 dollars lower than what I could get from them myself. Most of the trades where handgun scopes which are a tough sale anyway. They gave me great service. I just got a SS10x HD and I traded in a handgun scope for it. They gave me a great deal because of the SH 10% discount and being a repeat customer. The do a great job. Remember they need to make some $$ to stay in business.

Re: SWFA Low Price Guarantee.

SWFA is one of the good guys on here and people dog piling on them with he said, she said, - second hand, a friend of my friend heard from a friend bullshit, needs to stop.

SWFA is a family owned business here looking to serve their clients in the best way possible. Sorry you didn't get an offer of full value + 10% for your Falcon Menace scope, but honest as has been stated it is just an offer. Try going to any other place that offers a trade in an see what you get. Or better hit the local pawn shops with your scopes if you feel you are not getting treated fairly on your trade. Start a post about your comparative shopping experience after you have driven around town with your treasure.

I have said it a million times, in public forums with companies who have a presence on theses site, they are here because they want to help, however when idiots with half a story dog pile on them it simply drives them away. Especially when the information is less than reliable. They will call you on it...

SWFA has always treated me fair, and I appreciate the support they provide the shooting community. Even before they were on this site I was a customer, and continue to shop their site and samplelist, never have I had a bad experience. Can it happen, sure, but how they handle it is important.

Think before you poke your finger in the eyes of the business on this site, because I for one am getting tired of it. They deal with more than most realize.

If they did offer that.....some people would STILL bitch and whine about it! There isn't a company on Earth that has 100% positive feedback, because some people would rather bitch than eat when they are hungry.

+10! I have done alot of business with SWFA and have ALWAYS had a great experience. I've traded with them too and they have always been very fair! Once I traded 4.5-14 IOR to them. I paid $1149 for it brand new and they gave me $1200 in trade for it! What better could you ask for?

There are several vendors here including, SWFA, Liberty Optics, Big River Tactical, and Triad Tactical, that I have had great experiences with and they will continue to get my business no matter what some douche bags may say!

Re: SWFA Low Price Guarantee.

I wasn't going to post in this thread, but,it needs to be said that I've had several dealings with SWFA and they were more than fair.Same can be said for all the SH vendors I've used like Murphy Precision,Liberty Optics,Seekins Precision to name just a few.

Re: SWFA Low Price Guarantee.

I've had great dealings with SWFA. I've picked up a few mounts/rings, and some surefire's. Snagged a SS 3-9x40 off of sample list too. Haven't been home to see it yet, but I'm not worried as I know if there is somehow something wrong with it, they'll take care of it. So another +1 for these guys, as well as for Scott at LibertyOptics. Just started doing business with him, but will continue to do so in the future.

Another thing about the trade ins. You will never get anything close to what you are expecting. I asked Scott for a trade in value on my Leupy and it was lower than I was hoping, and he even said it probably would be ahead of time. Can I be mad at that? Nope. I told him I would sell it private, then be back to buy another scope from him.

Try trading in a D-SLR somewhere, you'll lose your ass on that too. Same go's for cars, and anything else used that a business will have to make a profit on.

Sell it private, put it towards something else, and shut up.

Re: SWFA Low Price Guarantee.

For all you guys who are shocked at trade-in offers, keep in mind that they have to offer you something significantly under what they pay to buy the scopes wholesale. I have had great experiences with SWFA and, like LowLight said, the guys who come on these boards are here because they give a damn about their customers.

Re: SWFA Low Price Guarantee.

Hey listen, I don't know how this got focused on me. I was confirming MY experience that went along with a post above mine, that's all.

I also said in THAT post that MY experience applied to ME ONLY.
Get it?

Also, straw-man arguments may work for some but I'm not buyin'. (pun intented) I don't know about any +10% offer on anything. Sorry I had to point that out. I don't believe I've ever had to resort to that kind of crap.

I am only one guy. I am not now, nor have I ever tried to sway anyone's opinion of SWFA against them.
In fact, I have done the opposite and have tried to isolate myself from all other opinions from my first post here and on all posts here and encouraged others to go/stay with SWFA if that's what they would like to do.

As far as the SS trade-in "several months later" I didn't have that scope several months. I sold it here on SH because I was not impressed with the glass or turrets and that was my only recourse. Maybe you have the wrong Jeff?
AGAIN, THAT'S JUST ME.
Get it?

If you have been treated well by SWFA who am I to say otherwise? Keep going with them if that's what you want to do!

Does that mean I have to?

Final answer?

Re: SWFA Low Price Guarantee.

Take a look at the posts about Joe Bob Outfitters.

Not ONE bad response everything about them is positive!!!!!!

Sorry I don't believe they are a forum sponsor but with service like this they deserve our business.

Unlike SWFA which because they are a forum sponsor we shouldn't
enter anything negative even if we do have a bad experience.

Re: SWFA Low Price Guarantee.

I have used the trade in process and the price match guarantee and both were great. I could have gotten a few more dollars out of the items on a private sale but the difference was not enough to bother with listing it and dealing with the b.s. that goes along with it. More than happy with SWFA.

We've been closed since Wed. at noon for Thanksgiving. So when we get back Monday we will be very behind on everything. Shipping orders will be our priority.

You should have a response late Monday or Tuesday.
