New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
I am building my 22 trainer rifle I just plan on shooting birds and varmints and paper would you guys suggest I go with an swfa 20x or leupold vxii 3-9x40
Yep, but I think you'll find it to be a little too high for general use. Most guys comfortably shoot out to 1000yds with a 10x, and on a .22LR that'll get out to 300yds at the very most, 20x seems to be a little overkill. If you're all about the paper punching game 20x would probably be just fine. This is just my personal opinion. Whatever floats your boat
I had a couple 10x on some 1022s. They worked great. I sold them to fund the new mil swfa scopes (the ss resale is better to). The 1022s now have the weaver 3-10 mil scopes on them. When I shoot at 25ys, I adjust it down to 5 or less. I use them for fun.
