I know everybody has had a good experience with SS Scopes. But wondering if anyone has tried SWFA's new rings? They seem to be comparable to Burris XTR rings. I just got the SSALT mount for AR flat-top, seems to be almost identical to the Burris, from specs, at least. I like it.
I have several LaRue mounts, they are great, but why spend $200 on a QD mount when QD isn't needed.
For the money, I like the SSALT mount.
My guess is that whomever makes the rail for Burris and the rings for Burris is also making the SS mounts for SWFA. But that's just a guess.

How much room is left between the bell and the handguard? I've been thinking of going with one of these but never actually saw it on an AR. I was going to run the XTRs I got, but now they don't look like they'll clear the handguard.

The low rings I ordered are supposed to measure 5/16" from the bottom of the scope rest to the top of the rail rest. If that makes sense.

I'm not sure about the half price...
The SWFA rings are listed $34.99-$39.99 and the Burris are listed $49.99
Still a good buy if they're the same thing though.

Well that's what I get for helping a local supplier out. The price isn't half through swfa, but it sures is close to half for what I've been paying. Oh'well she's a nice gal and I don't mind paying a little more to help out a local. Was mainly wondering people's input, not so much the price.
