Swiss K31 Bipod Questions

I'm considering a bipod for my K31. I have three questions that I've run into:

1. Is there a good bipod made that doesn't require modification to the gun? (bayonet mount or other?)

2. How important is it for a bipod to swivel?

3. What is the optimal placement along the barrel?

Cheers

+1 on the SP offering. And you don't want to put the bipod on a bayonet mount. Take a look at Swiss Rifles for good K31 poop.

The Harris swivel bipod is the way to go on any rifle needing a bipod IMO.

The Swiss have their own idea about bi-pods. The first time I used this it was like watching a monkey screw a football, but by days end I had made friends with it and it's extremely versatile.
