Switching from 140 amax to 140 eldm?

I am running out of my amax stash and plan to switch bullets. Can I expect similiar results if I just swap bullets on my current load of 42.1 RL-17?

I don’t know about 6.5s, but I and others at my range have seen a .5 MOA shift right on POI in ELDM vs. AMAX in both 168 and 175 308.

Yes the ELDs will be as accurate but at longer ranges you will see a difference with the higher BC of the ELDs. Better in wind and slightly flatter shooting.

For loading I would drop the load maybe .5 grns just to be safe as it is a different bullet but it won't be much different.

Personally I’d work up a new load. It really doesn’t take long and it helps get the most out of it.
Using Rob’s advice i had mine seated .020” off the lands and it shot so well I didn’t mess with it.
