I currently have a Rock River lower that I'm running with a White Oak 20 inch varmint upper on with am ACE skeleton stock and rifle length buffer. I'm acquiring pieces to build another upper that will be a 16 inch with carbine gas system and rifle length hand guards. Can I run that on my current lower or would the carbine gas system need a different buffer?
