Hunting & Fishing SXS Gun Rack/Mount

Need a good mount for 1 or 2 rifles for my Polaris Ranger. Looking online its slim for options. Most common seem to be the old school 2 gun rack that mounts to the floor or this car seat looking box that uses the seat belt to hold. what's everyone using?

My Ranger 1000 would fit a normal, back window shotgun rack…

Fig, I think those are great for longer hauls or camping/overlanding in a SXS but
I'm looking for something smaller and easy to access. While driving around things might get western and don't want to mess with a case.

Folding stock and laid the passenger seat.

An 18" AR just clears the remainder of the front seat of my Ranger 1000 with my fat ass in the driver's seat.

It certainly doesn't give off the "cool guy" vibes, but the amount of times I've ran across something and been able to get the rifle shouldered while the SxS was still rolling forward makes up for it. Nothing is faster, and where I'm at I have a lot more times where I run across something at 80 yards than I do at 800.

This is what I currently am doing along with having it slung across my chest while driving, which sucks.

I find it hard to believe that the options for gun rack/mount for UTV's are so slim. Maybe I need to make something?

I used to work for Polaris and was pretty disappointed with the lack of gun rack options for the Ranger myself. I haven't seen one of these in person, but something like this is what I always wanted to try out in my XP1000.

Not sure if you figured anything out yet. This could be an option or something similar mounted in a different arrangement.

I haven’t found anything I like yet. I will probably just settle for old style mount.
The Greyman is sweet but dayum! $650 is more than looking to invest.

Kolpin makes one that fits between the roll bars in the roof. I have one on the gator and has seemed ok so far

I run the thumperfab kolpin ratchet mounts under the center seat on a can am, and to be honest I still just shove the muzzle in the floor most of the time, it’s faster than trying to get the basterd out of that mount in a hurry. And the muzzle isn’t right by face! There just ain’t anything super handy.

Sorry I just saw your post but here are some options.

The texas holdem gun racks are pretty slick. They mount to the floor board and then attach to the overhead roll bar. They are fast for gun retrieval but take up a lot of room between the seats. The yellow barrel holders have a lever that you push over to release the gun (very fast)

These mount between the overhead roll bars. They are probably the best for keeping the gun out of the way and pretty fast retrieval. They make different lenghts just have to measure yours.

I have the kolpin rhino grip xl in my mule mounted behind my back on the cross bar. You can get singles and bouble rifle mount. I like this one because it easy access and out of the way. I don't use the rubber strap provided. The rubber teeth on the inside are more than enough to hold the rifle in as long as the unit stays upright.
