Hey All, Does anyone have experience with the Tab Gear Biathlon sling? I'm looking for a sling for my Mega Maten and this sling is looking perfect. I know there's a lot of love for Tab Gear around here so I'm guessing someone has experience with this sling? Care to share your opinion of it? I especially want to know how the shooter loop works, I like the idea of that and the backpack style carry.

    Thanks in advance.

It's a great biathlon sling. The shooting loop works pretty much exactly like his regular slings. On one of the straps is the loop....give it a half turn, run your arm through.....snug the slider up tight above your bicep....and proceed to have a stable shooting platform. The other strap hangs loose.

If you are walking a lot and shooting less, this is the sling in my opinion. It carries my 20lb 7WSM easily and comfortably. It's nice when you don't want/need the extra weight and bulk of an Eberlestock, for example.

That being said, it is bulkier and heavier than a normal TAB sling. I don't run mine in matches, where I want to be as light and unencumbered as possible. Here are some images of mine in use, both carrying and slung up.

    Hope it helps.
