There's no stupid clause anywhere, but in the fine print there is a resident photographers clause. Anyone who posts pictures like you do deserves some slack for a momentary lack of concentration.
Guys, the SAS1, and SAS3 have a front and a rear, if you install it incorrectly, see Tuscondave's post above for what happens. If you'll feel both ends it will be obvious that one end is much thicker than the other end. The thick end is the rear and must be against the rear of the can. This is the internal ridge that keeps the cover from sliding forward under recoil and going down range, as Dave found out.
The SAS2 has no front or rear, put it on any way you want. When the shock cord slides over the rear of the can that is what prevents the cover from taking a trip down range.
