A large should fit your Lapua. Mine is a 27" barrel plus a badger FTE. It fits fine in a large Tac Ops bag.

I have a large bag now that i absolutely love and use all the time. The only way the 338 fits in is if i don't use the muzzle protector. Even then it is a tight fit to get the case zippered.
