What do you guys think about some of the custom actions? Anybody use the Stiller Tac30 or the McMillian G30? They look damn good, just wondering if anybody has used these and how they performed. The McMillian is pricey($1500) the Stiller is about $900. Was also wondering how they compare to the Templar and the Surgeon. Can any of the builders work a regular Rem 700 to match these others performance?

Not sure about the others but have a Templar on my 6.5 Creedmoor and love it. Lots of great features and the price isn't bad. Only problem is that it's only offered at GA Precision but that's not much of a problem as they do great work also.

Rem 700s can be made to shoot great too. More about who is building it.

Use the Surgeon RSR and dont look back. Stiller makes a great product and if lead times are in line with Surgeon flip a coin. Either is top notch. As of yesterday, Surgeon is 30 days out on RSR's.

Hey Roscoe. Remember me? I talked you a couple weeks ago about that Green/Black marble A3 22" gun that you done. I'm still saving for that build. About to sell some property that I have so hopefully I will be calling you in a couple weeks/months, depending on when it sells. Was maybe thinking about doing an AICS 2.0 stock. That will probably add a little more money but if I sell that land I'll be good. Roscoe, whats lead times for Rock barrels? Also what do you think of Broughton 5C barrels?

2.0's are OK but I'm not much of a folders fan, just a personal thing. I'm more of a McMillan type guy. Not sure about the lead times on Rock as I use Krieger 99% of the time when I supply the barrel. 10 weeks on Krieger unless Bruno Shooter Supply has what you want in stock. A buddy of mine has a Broughton on his 6.5x284 that LSR built prior to me getting my FFL. It shoots great and cleans easy. While I prefer cut rifled barrels, the button barrels hold their own and hold several records to boot.

Yeah, I have always liked cut rifled barrels best. Seem to clean the best. Well I'm good with Krieger as well, they make a super great barrel. They offer the #7 MTU barrel dimensions correct? I was thinking of doing a folder to take up less room in my patrol car. Do you not care for folders or just AICS in geberal, just wondering if they aren't as good as an A3-A5. Also what should I chamber it in as far as the .308's go. Was thinking 95 Palma. Will be shooting mostly 168 FGMM for work but some TAP, and 155 Palmas sometimes for fun and to see how accurate it will do with them.

The AI stocks are fine, 2.0 included, it's just a personal thing. I'm left handed and they come right handed with a thumbhole. I've built several rifles in AI stocks and they all shot great, good stocks. Yes, Krieger has an MTU contour. The 1995 Palma Reamer is probably one of my favorite 308 reamers. I use it the most.

k9222, download the pdf file on badger's website. then you can view the whole catalog. i highly recommend the M2008 action, but frankly, you're not going to go wrong with a templar, surgeon, or a badger. they're all excellent.

What are you looking to know about the M2008's? A call to Marty would be your best bet, but I would guess there's plenty here that run them and can answer most of your questions. I absolutely love mine and have a Laupa that be here soon and another short action on the way.
