The only gripe I had with my CZ rimfire trainer was the small bolt knob.
My brother solved that problem for me by machining a larger knob and grinding off the small ball from the standard handle.

I'm happy.

Daar wil ik er ook wel een van. Vraag eens aan je broer of hij er nog eentje wil doen ;)

I would like one of those. Could you ask your brother if he wants to do another.

Ok thanks for the info! I'd really love to see pictures of it on the gun! If you get a chance.

When I get the bolt handle back I'll take some pictures.
My brother lives about 200km away from where I live, so he'll have to send it by post or I have to wait until the 8th when I see him.

Me too...that damn puny knob is like a toy in my hands. Mine currently barely clears the upstroke with my scope, but I think a bigger knob would still work.

I'm just ten miles South of you Cproflow and have had several local gunsmiths look at putting a Badger knob on my 453 and all of them have said it's no-go with my current scope (Leupold Mark-4 16x). I'd like something bigger but I have about 3/16" clearance right now and so I may be stuck with the factory knob.

Hi All,

This morning the bolt knob arrived. My brother did an outstanding job with the bolt handle.
It feels much better and clears the scope better than the little factory knob did.
My scope is a Falcon Menace 10x42 with an ocular diameter of 43mm / 1.69in and sits in low Badger rings.
There is more clearance because the bolt knob moves away from the scope first, while the standard bolt knob is a round ball and actually moves towards the scope.
If anyone is interested I'll ask my brother what the measurements of the bolt knob are. I know it's just slightly smaller than an SSG bolt knob.
Send me a PM if there is any interest to get one made by my brother.

When you have clearance now, you will always have clearance with another bolt knob than the factory item.
Look at the shape of the knob and compare it to your standard one.

Thats awesome! I would love to see specs on the size if your brother doesn't mind! Sweet little setup you got there!

That's a great looking rig with ideal selection of components. Cool to have a borother in law with useful skills.

Nice job!
