Tactical innovations lowers/uppers

Re: Tactical innovations lowers/uppers

I like that they have the upper/lower tensioning screw. I've looked them over and they appear on their face that they are your average forged upper/lower. Check out Mega Machine too.

Re: Tactical innovations lowers/uppers

They are G2G. Excellent finish. They also have the rear take down detent and spring held in by little allenhead screw to hold the detent and spring in place. Buy with confidence.

Re: Tactical innovations lowers/uppers

I have their billet lower and couldnt be happier. Everything was with in specs and didnt have to file out any holes when putting the lower parts kit in.

Re: Tactical innovations lowers/uppers

That's a little harsh. Harbor Freight is cheap and fails within 6 months, I don't know that any receiver from any company is that bad.

That being said they are pretty much unheard of, they are cheaper than some companies but they are decent. If you're looking for cheap lowers Surplus Ammo and Arms lowers are about as cheap as you can get other than Palmetto States when they're on sale. What I have found when it comes to receivers as long as they are forged and the company has been around for a few years they are usually good to go as far as function goes. Where the difference lies is in the quality of the finish and the brand on the roll mark. Billet lowers are more of a gamble when they come from newer companies and as everyone should know castings (few and far between anymore) should be discarded. I've built all types of receivers from $50 receivers to $200 receivers and the only issue I've ever had was the difference in mag release button sizes (DPMS, RRA, Stag, ArmaLite, Daniel Defense, Spikes and other quality companies) seem to fit in all lowers while cheaper parts (Del-Ton, Double Star, and some others) may require some fitting. Hope that helps

Re: Tactical innovations lowers/uppers

Tactical Innovations is a good company. I have visited thier shop in Bonners Ferry Idaho. Nice folks.

All thier products are machined in house and very high quality. They have a 7075-T6 billet AR lower and upper and also buy forgings from Maramount Defense and then machine those.

All of thier stuff is very well made and they stand behind what they sell.

Also have so very cool Ruger 10/22 stuff...

Re: Tactical innovations lowers/uppers

im just passing on what i have been told, i have not used their products, i do know they are big in the 10/22 and have heard that the parts don't really just snap together. apparently they might not be as bad as i have heard but i know other company's out their and they have a good track record, also think of resale as well

I personally wouldn't buy one. im just relaying what i have been told in conversations
