It's a blued Wingmaster and was before they started producing "Police" models, so I would say pretty old. It's seen quite a bit of use.

No worries about the "stamp". It's tax exempt so there really isn't any stamp on the paperwork. I don't "own" it. It's a work gun.

Well I'm all out of excuses then; like it a lot.

Very businesslike +1

Yet if you are halfway tall, why not go 18.25" and do a Choate extension tube?

If you want shortie, the 20ga pistol grip NFA Ithacas with 14" barrels are a hot ticket.

I don't want the kind of job where they expect a shotgun to suffice... (ETA) Unless it's professional bird hunter!

Because I have a fully worked over 870 with a +2 Scattergun tech extension and MMC sights. The point of this gun is small and light.

Why? What do you think a 14" 20ga will do that a 14" 12ga wont?

Not sure exactly what you mean by that. I carry this weapon in addition to a suppressed M4 and a 700 in .308. They are all different tools for different tasks. I am confident in my ability with the 870 and can solve quite a few problems with them. For example my main reason for this weapon is vehicle takedowns where the heavy payload works better through glass and sheetmetal than the M4. It will also more than likely be my defensive weapon when I deploy with the long gun since it's so compact and lightweight.

Re: "Tactical" Shotgun

Sporting clays? Good luck. I have shot skeet and sporting clays pretty extensively and I can tell you it would not be ideal.
