I've got the itch for a walnut stock for my nitride defiance action and spiral fluted 25sst barrel. I like the shape of a manners t2a stock. I know boyds has the provarmint in walnut but wanting something a little closer to a manners shape. Any sources out there for such a stock? Anything to consider since its wood instead of fiberglass or carbon like the wood swelling in different humidity levels that might effect accuracy?

There is a girl in Florida that paints fiberglass on boats to resemble Teak. Her work is excellent, you literally have a hard time telling it's not wood. I have spoken to her about painting rifle stocks to resemble Walnut and she said no problem she had done several for boat owners.

I'm not sure just how tactical it's going to be, but it is walnut and a 6.5CM target rifle will be living in it when I'm finished!
If anyone is interested the stock is from Richard's Microfit and the purchase price DOES reflect the amount of work needed to finish it! I did know that going in, it's my second rifle on one of their stocks.
