Tactically Wood?

I am toying with the idea of making my next build a wood stocked rifle...I have a Savage 10 Action with target trigger, SSS .250 Recoil lug, EGW 20MOA base and a Savage 12 large shank turned down to small shank (by a reputable smith on this board) chambered in .243AI. I have a Luppy Mark IV to set on top of it...

I know fibre glass and composites are best and lightest but I've toyed for a while with having a nice burled piece of Walnut in an A3 type drop grip pattern with a very deep oiled finish as a base for the build...glass bedded of course...

Anyone seen such an animal around here? Pics?
