I got my Lefty Underground Skunkworks (AKA Black Ops) Perseus in June 11 of this year and at that same time I also paid for a Thunderbeast 30-P1. I was trying not to shoot it until I got the suppressor but I am two and half months into that wait so I got tired and decided to take the rifle for a walk. This is actually the second time I shot it but the first time was just to test it to make sure it worked well.
I started loading for it last weekend with 168 GR AMAX. I used the Lock and Load Hornady gauge to check the length to the lands.
It was 2.820" to touch the lands so I backed it off to 2.810" and used my go to powder - Winchester 748 - I loaded 43.5 grains with Lapua Virgin Brass and CCI Match Primer.

I shot at 100 yards first to check the loads - I did two strings - one on the bottom is a ten round string and the one on the top is a five:

then I moved to 200 yards - I let the rifle cool and then zeroed the rifle. I then shot an eight round string on a 3" Shoot and See target:

I am impressed with what this rifle can do. It shoots way better than I ever could. I shot it on the Atlas with a rear bag in the prone position. The rifle is still very tight and will take some work to loosen her up and get it humming. But, I really don't know how much better this could get.

FYI: This is the one and only Left Handed Perseus in existence per Mike Bush. Got to give it to Mike and crew - AWESOME is all I can say.

I consider my self an OK shot but nothing special at all. So, this rifle even makes me look good and that is not all that easy to do.

This is the one and only Perseus? Has no one else ordered one of these rifles?

Someday I would totally like to have a UGSW/Blackops Specter BABR. Goodluck with the rifle!

Are you left handed or do you just shoot lefty?</div></div> I am left eye dominant. I have shot right handed rifles for years but I got a left handed 223 last year and finally figured out what I have been missing all my life so I sold some rifles and changed over to shooting only left handed bolts...my life is complete now

Wow, good for you. That's a problem I've always had. I'm left eye dominant but I've been shooting right handed for many years now. I'm kind of scared to transition to left handed shooting. I heard there are tricks to help make your weak eye dominant. I'd be more willing to try that.

Great looking rifle. I put down a deposit on a Skunkworks Recon rifle in March. At that time they were about 8 months out.

I'm also going with the Thunderbeast 30-P1, are you just waiting for the stamp?

I am about 2 1/2 months into the wait so I figure by November or December some time. I have seen the suppressor at the dealer and was really impressed with the weight - got to love that Titanium.
