Rifle Scopes Talbot QD mount question...

I have a Rem 700 LA Talbot QD mount as pictured below. It has 2-8x40 screws up front and 2-6x48's to the rear, is this normal for these Talbot mount to have different sized fasteners or has it been modified to accept them?

Solid but too expensive to justify their use for my application. Also wasn't wild about how much the 1 piece mount limited options on scope position.

If they were 1/2-2/3 the price then I'd probably consider using them.

Mine had 6x48's all around too, so I think you are correct in that it's modified...or made that way for somone. One application that these are pretty nice on are the Steyr SSG, if ya gotta change optics often... Al makes a version that uses the receiver grooves on the Steyr receiver.
