Rifle Scopes Talley Tactical Rings?

How do these rings hold up/compare to other quality rings.

I have noticed these rings on just about every Surgeon rifle in magazines I read. Why is that? Also I never see them on anyones build or any talk about them.

I see they come in Dark Earth, Coyote Tan and Black. 1", 30mm and 34mm sizes.

They look like they have a good bite on the rail.

Heres a pic of them but I have seen others with six screws on each ring also.

While I don't own these Talleys, the ones I have seem to work well without issue. I would buy these too, though the dog bones don't do much for me.

What are the two screws for on the side of lower ring body?
