why bed the tang on 700 but float on Sav ? I use to see FULL length bedding tang to end of forearm, and they shot well , as I understand now barrels are floated and actions bedded full or partial - I would like to know what works and why -thanks in advance for your knowledge

Because the rear action screw goes through the tang on a 700 and it doesn't on a Savage.
