looks like a trophy or award of some kind
If I'm not mistaken, both of these scopes served the Israeli Army, hence the IDF reference. The black scope is an East German knock off of the Kahles ZF95. Is that right, GOL1?
I can't tell for sure about the scopes in the pictures but
the Nimrod was made by Hakko from Japan it was used on the Galil sniper rifle and the improved M-14's we had
the ZF-95 was original Zeiss and some Kahles from Wien with istalled tritum ampules for night use I know I saw some of them in the US surplus market
they were used on the Mauser 98 sniper rifle and M-14's
if you ask me the Nimrod is a poor quality copy of the ZF-95
and the ZF-95 is just outdated and I wouldnt use it even on a rimfire rifle
BTW
Henslodt Wetzlar (today a division of Zeiss optics) was on the East side of Germeny and produced A class equipment not everything that came from there was shit.
Both of these scopes were made for and used by the IDF. They both have the Nimrod reticle and they are both 26mm as were most of the scopes the IDF used in that time period.
The black scope is a tritium Kahles with a non removable rubber sun shade and two eye piece filters...one high contrast yellow and one for laser protection. It also has the nimrod reticle and uses a 26mm tube.
The original Nimrod scope was not made by Hakko. I'll post another picture of a Nimrod along with these two.
The Gold ACOG was an award, one of only 9 in existence
