Maggie’s tech question...

Click on your user name in the upper right corner of the page - click on "user settings" - Click the tab second from left labeled "account" - scroll about halfway down the page until you see "Date & Time Options" and select your timezone - stop being a fuckin n00b

all right, just the right spoon feeding i needed...
perfect fixed...
you only hurt my feelings a tad...

Oh please! I've been hanging around here long enough to know that your skin is thicker than a boar's hide and twice as nasty :p

Nothing's free. The teasing made the post amusing enough to be worth the time it took to give you the info you wanted

Test post.

edit: Made a test post here to see if I got my time setting fixed. Once I saw it, I tried to delete the post, but it won't let me delete it. I clicked on the Edit icon, and then several tabs appear, one of which is the Delete tab. Clicking on that brings up a window that offers an option to list why you want to delete it, and then another tab for the final click to Delete. But when I click on that tab it says I'm "not authorized". Do we not have the option to delete a post now?

delete seems to work two ways. 1st, if you look at your post you should see a small select-able box just right of the post number. click on that and then look to the top of your screen (you don't have to scroll up), on the upper right corner you will see another select-able box. just left of that you will see what looks like a piece of paper with an eraser on it, click that and then select delete. you can add a reason if you want because as you see the thread keeps a place holder for the deleted post.

the 2nd way is as you described, through the edit function. If neither way works for you, you may have to contact frank to have your permissions checked. I think I read a post saying that was an issue in one of the bug threads, but I don't know if it was an individual or forum wide issue.

Test post

Edit: Thanks, jr. I didn't remember the other way you described, but now I vaguely remember that from when we were on here before. In any case, I tried it, and it doesn't work for me either! Same thing about not being authorized. It must be a bug, like you mentioned.
