I ordered today a new barrel for my T/C encore. In 300 Win Mag. With the huge JP brake on it. (I kinda figured for a .300 win mag, in a 4 pound rifle, the brake was required.) I'll post up a range report and some pics of how it looks when it gets here.

My old man hunts with a TC Encore in 7mm Win Mag.
It pushes back quite a bit, but you wont notice it at all with a nice buck in your sight picture.

chiller, if it makes you feel better, I hunt with a 1895g guide gun, with buffalo bore ammo.
I'm sort of down with the more powder and lead arguement.
I've been hunting for a good .300 win mag for a while now, but had a facepalm moment earlier today when I realized I could get one for the T/C.
