Recently picked this up from a buddy who has had it along time. His father in law gave it to him many years ago. Kinda wondering what it is worth. Winchester Model 70 heavy barrel in 22-250, dates to 1967, benchrest stock( right hand) with Redfield fixed 24x. Clean old gun, unknown round count but doesn’t look to have a lot through it. May be “ glued” in. Any interest

Maybe $600 if it’s not a pre64. Maybe more if you take it apart and piece it out or find that special buyer.

Best bet for some answers of this rifle is go to benchrest central.
Looks like an older br or varmint rig.

The butt plate assembly is from an older Anschutz rifle of probably the same era. Dont remember exact time frame those style buttplates were made

Butt plate may be a Freeland style. The stock maybe his also.
I'm not 100% sure.

Looked it up and its from a Anschutz 1413 Supermatch earliest mfg. date of 62 but not quite sure when they stopped making those plates.

Seems like an odd choice if it was a BR gun.

man that is pretty why do I feel I say that way too often in this forum guess I am just a sucker for a nice looking wood stock good luck with it and what ever you decide to do with it .

I could be wrong but I believe that's on the style of a high power silhouette rifle.
If you look closely at the stock it has a wide forend and a wide flat on the bottom of the butt stock.
Looks real heavy for a high power silhoutte rifle.
Also the caliber and scope is a 22-250 perfect varmint case for that era.

The scope looks like it might be from the late 60s or early 70s. I think you’re right. Old school varmint rig.
