I got a question regarding temperature and powder. I know that some types of powder will respond to negative changes in temp (less velocity) but will your shots become a little erratic, meaning it could be low then off to the left or right on the next shot and so forth?
I started shooting back in June and up till now have started to get decent groups at 100yds until last Saturday. I shoot the same ammo, factory Federal 100gr .243 for consistency until I begin to hand load in the coming weeks. Up to two weeks ago I was making .75-1 inch groups, though it was relatively warm then went Saturday same conditions except for the temp. It was probably in the mid to low 30's. I was kind of figuring I'd be a little low due to the cold but was probably off in one direction or another from my point of aim by 1.5 inches give or take. My scope is new and have already used it as well as dressed appropriately. Just trying to narrow things down if its me, the ammo/cold or something else.
