Tempilaq, temp and purchase?

I have a bunch of 5.56 brass I'm going to be reloading here, and I figured I might as well anneal it. 650 F Tempilaq seems to be the brand to go with from the reading I've found.

So far, best price is $21 shipped for a 2 oz bottle from Brownells. I'm not even sure where to shop for something like that locally.

Any ideas?

In a dark, and I mean dark room, put the cases in the heat, as soon as the brass changes color remove for the heat, cherry red is TOO HOT, if your using a machine keep the same 5 pieces of brass to calibrate the machine. I bought 700 degree Templaq, what a waste of money, Brownells was my only choice as nobody in town had it instock.

Infrared thermometer as an alternative? Anyone tried that?

Try a welding supply shop. The original target market was machinists and welders, not reloaders.
