Having a problem with bolting up a new Templar action to a AICS. Even with the recoil lug area opened up the action and AICS bolt holes don't match up. Has anyone run into this problem?

Re: Templar action+ Aics= not fitting

I did this exact thing at the beginning of the year. The Templar action is exactly 1/4" longer than the Rem action to the front of the recoil lug. The bolt holes will line up once you remove the material in front of the recoil lug. Once you do that, the material behind the bolt handle will have to be removed to allow the bolt to close. I used my mill to do both of these procedures. They are not difficult by any means if you are a compatent mill operator.

I then bolted in the action, sealed off one side of the now empty recoil lug area, layed rifle on its side, filled with Devcon, waited 24hrs, cleaned up, and the rifle shoots lights out. Make sure you do the proper bedding prep work before you throw the devcon on.

All in all, if I didnt have a mill, I would find a smith/machinist to do that part, and bed myself cause the 200+ smiths charge for bedding is redic to me when devcon costs 20 bucks. To each their own.

If you would like some pics, I could prob get some later this week.
