Terminator Sight

I bet I can summarize.
The actual laser sight as depicted on screen was not possible by 1984 standards. The battery unit necessary to operate the laser was hidden in his coat and the wires were in the sleeve. Made by what would become Surefire. And although archaic today, was somewhat revolutionary then being on of the first films to feature this concept.

How's my aim?

Part of the reason I know this was FJ Vollmer (former HK smiths) had a Mini 14 for sale many years ago with the exact same laser mounted under the barrel and the huge power supply was housed in the stock. It got me curious as to how they made this work back in the day. Did some diggin'

The other reason is I'm a sick bastard who loves both movies and guns....and this is BOTH! It's scary how much knowledge a person can gain from cinema and television if it is properly filtered and verified.

Re: Terminator Sight

We actually had that gun on display in our booth at SHOT this year and it was a big hit to see how SureFire has grown over the last 30 years.

chucky,

Clicked on your link longrangeinternation and this is the message that appeared on the web page:

"NOTICE: This domain name expired on 02/14/2010 and is pending renewal or deletion"

Do you have another web address or something along those lines, or is the site now defunct?

Bushmaster 7,

I don't know if the site is going to be back up. My friend who started long range international is now in the Army so he is doing that full time. I have deleted the link off of my signature. I will see what he is going to do with the company.
