Do any of the range finding Binoculars - Swarovsky / Leica / Zeiss... compare in rangefinding performance to the Vectronix Terrapin?
Judging by the cost and name brand alone it seems plausible.

The baddest range finding Binos I have seen are the Leica Vector, They are very spendy and hard to find, but you do see them out there, awesome piece of equipment if you have the $$$ and find a pair for sale! We got to finger bang a pair out here in the desert one year before SHOT show, pretty damn impressive. I have a Terrapin and love it, but if I had choice/cash I think the Vector would be awesome to have in the pack for a dual purpose unit for hunting, binos with a badass range finder built in would be nice! :)

Supposedly Steiner has a set good to a mile but I don't think they've hit the market yet

I believe Sky Leighton with Burris/Steiner was using a set of the new Steiner bino rangefinder at the Rocky Mountain Steel Quest. They are a set that aren't out yet but a guy I went to the match with shot with him and he said they where pretty impressive. Not sure on the cost but maybe a good option if they come in at the right price and terrapin like performance.

Terrapin is a high bar, I'd be happy if it kept up to 2000, let alone the max in the Terrapin

The answer really is no. There is no bino that will range to 4 thousand yards except the other offerings from vectronix. If you find some please let us all know. I really feel like if someone could produce a pair of 8x or 10x bono's that could range to 3000 yards reliable and could market them at 2 grand or so they would be instantly rich.

Or instantly broke haha. I'm sure the cost to make a set of binos that have good glass and that powerful of a laser is up there in price.

I ROed for Sky on day two of the Steel Quest in blizzard conditions and can say with out any reservations that the Steiners are bad ass. I was all but dead in the water with my 1600b getting ranges coming back of 35 or 40 yards most of the time. He would dig the ice and snow out of his with his fingers and still ding Shit out to a grand or better.
