HAs anyone used the Texas Gun Traders website to buy a gun? Is it like Armslist? Found a beautiful Colt Python, 6" barrel, nickel, for $1500. I guess I'm too scared to take the plunge.

Any deal on there that seems to good to be true is 100% scam. Do not fall for it. Only face 2 face transactions. Be careful emailing people also because if they get your email address they can hack into it and phish out any lucrative information.

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING THAT IS NOT A FTF. Ive bought sold traded there and for the most part its good but if it is a scar, python, barrett its a scam. If it is crap or cheap its real.

There are way to many "great deals" on that site. My brother was talking to a guy from Houston in reference to an add from the site and he was offering a Sako TRG-42 for $1500 unfired. Luckily my brother talked to me before sending any $ and when he inquired for more info from seller they ceased contact. Searched the photo of the rifle through Google images and it came up on other boards and posts indicating that the pic was "stolen." Beware

Yep. I'll echo what's been said. FTF only. 1200 SCARS and the like are scammin
