I've been to a handful of local conferences (mostly Austin, sometimes Dallas). Lots of 'local' californians 'round here these days. Interesting part is talking shooting at the afterparties. Lotta folks like to shoot or would like to shoot. Always the occasional wingnut that is contrary to that position. They get shut down pretty quickly once I bring up what everyone else is thinking.

Not sure how to take that, exactly, but it's nice to know that at least in my industry, lefttards are still a minority.
