Gunsmithing Texturing the WHOLE stock Question

Has anyone ever textured their stock, not just the grip and forend, but the whole stock?

I was considering using rocker panel spray (meduim to coarse) to add a little more texture before I paint again. The reason I am doing this is because I had to sand off my shitty paint job on my T4, and lost some of the "texture" in the stock. I am still going to re-texture the grip, and forend with Devcon.

Just wondering if anyone has used/done this before.

Anyone got any better ideas, besides sending it out let me know.

Duplicolor spray can bedliner, just let it setup for a couple days prior to painting. The texture is controled by how far away you spray from.

i do it on my stocks, just remember not to do too much on the cheek weld area (will sometimes scratch your face), and mask off areas that you want things to mount flush (floor plates, triggergaurds, etc.)
