Well, after a lot of reading, asking a ton of questions, I finally finished my build this past Sunday.

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone for taking a total newbie and turning into a regular newbie.

Here she is!

And, I know Ron Swanson has his "Pyramid of Greatness." This is mine:

This last picture goes out to @seansmd (now banned), who did nothing but antagonize me throughout this entire process.

Now, the only thing left is to go shoot the bloody thing. I'll be at the San Luis Obispo Long Range Shooting, if any of you happen to live in the area.

Lol points for the bird guess you Cali boys know how to to pick fights well.

Run your bolt and not your mouth and forget whatever other guys are saying. Let's see some targets this weekend dumpster fire thread starter.

Fyi that sb 140 gr ammo is a hot load when I have chronyed it. Seen more than one guy with hard extraction and smashed primers shooting it. If you get hard bolt lift you will know it's the ammo and not your rifle. It shot well though with every rifle I have seen so thats a plus.

Oh and you probably shouldn't post pics like that on the internet. I thought owning that amount of ammo got you locked up for life in Cali for owning an "unauthorized arsenal of mass destruction."

That's the one thing that hasn't screwed me up yet. Kidney problems, liver problems, high blood pressure, low blood pressure, diabetic for a week. I've been poked and prodded a lot. Thankfully, it hady all died out except for the kidney issues.
Nice avatar. Cool to see another linux user gun nut on here.
Absotively. Gentoo here. You?

Started on gentoo about 14 years ago, then went to debian. Been running ubuntu for a while now, package management is just too easy with it. But do have to run either i3 or awesome window manager to get it setup like I like. Work in Oracle's bare metal cloud, in the bare metal control plane department, so use oel on a few computers as a secondary boot option for testing stuff locally.

I'm a control freak. I love having the binaries custom for my computer. Always rolled my own kernels too. It's what attracted me to PRS... The need to have control to shoot well.

I used to be that way, in my old age I have came to terms with running an OS that I can just up and running but can hack if I want and get my custom build kicks while working on making clouds.

Very nice! I got my gen 1 .308 RPR back in 2016. SWFA SS/Harris. 4000 rounds later on the factory barrel it’s still shooting 1/2 moa even at distance (190 SMK 42.5 gr varget). This rifle has never given me a single problem. Not the slightest thing.

I’m sure yours in 6.5 cm is going to leave a big smile on your face. You should post it in the RPR section too!

Congrats!

Love the last pic.
Trolling is ok but being a dick isn’t.
