We did a lot of work that day (more like two days) to get all those guys back home. Talk about survivors guilt: My unit was rotating out, if we had scrubbed one mission during the previous 6 months...that would have been us. On the previous aircraft that got shot up, my buddy had a hand on the SEAL that fell out, he just couldn't hold onto him.
