Finally stepped up to an Accuracy International. Ordered a AI AE MkII from Jonathan at SRT on Monday. It arrived last night and I love it. I'm tired of sending my guns off to get barrels replaced. Looking forward to doing it myself. Hopefully I'll break it in this weekend if all goes well.

Can you confirm that the AE models allows YOU to swap the barrels? I thought that option was only available on AW models.. I could be wrong, I'm new to the rifle. When you do get it can you confirm that you can actually do it yourself?

Both the AE and AW barrel swaps are pretty similar..the only difference is that you need to unbolt the AE action from the chassis before putting the barrel into the vise. AW threaded barrels will fit AE rifles (though not vice versa), and can be ordered directly from AINA along with the barrel change kit.
