So I had a remington 700 aac in 308 that was underperforming
Wanted to rebarrel it and give it a little upgrade.
Had seen a few posts about Builds Mark at Raven Rifles down in Pulaski,Va had done for board members. Talked with the board members who were very, very happy with their rifles. He is relatively local to me which is a big plus in my book. I Gave Mark a call and talked for awhile. Ended up sending him a 30 cal barrel 1/10 twist along with the factory aac barrelled action and a manners stock. He pulled the factory barrel and trued the action, chambered and threaded the new Bartlein barrel. He also cerakoted the action and dropped in the manners t2a with a mini chassis( didnt bed it at my request). Of his own accord, He even cleaned up the finish dings the stock it had accumulated over the preceding years I had used it.
RavenRifle
Took it to the range and she's a honey
The three groups photographed around the orange Targets show the rifle's function at just shy of 300 yds with 3 different factory loads(fgmm 168, bh 175, corbon 175). I'm currently working on a 175 berger load(didnt show results because its not ready ). The black background shoot and see taget was four hundred yards with fgmm.
While I was shooting these targets, the ground hog waltzed through the range twenty yards beyond the targets. Bonus!!
In addition to the fine workmanship, Mark did all the work in 8 total days. He emailed pictures nearly daily.
The work was great and Mark was a pleasure to work with. Thought others might like to hear about him.
