Not 100% sure what I was thinking but I noticed a pile of guns parts stacked up in my closet, and thought "man, I wonder if I have everything to build a gun?"
So I start stacking junk up and sure enough everything is there. Maybe not the sexiest of parts, but it's all there.
So this is what I dropped off last weekend at the smith.
Bighorn Zermatt TL3
AICS non-CIP (fits Magpul 300 Win Mags) bottom metal
Remington Walker trigger
Savage Shilen 30-06 prefit 1-11 twist
Eric Cortina tuner break
McMillan A-5
It will either be a 300 Win or a 300 PRC depending on how the chambering goes.
I had a really good load for the 300 Win in a Proof 1 in 9.4 that was half-3/4 MOA. Barrel was 28 inches long and it would send those 150 Barnes X bullets at 3400 FPS with H1000.
Hoping I can do the same with the 150 GMX and Barnes X as I have about 500 of them.
