The Chad muzzle brake or something else

The Chad is a great brake.... I am currently shooting a Botnia Solutions Maxi and I can tell you from personal experience that it is superior to the Chad in at the shooter concussion. I let some buddies try mine and they both bought them. One of those buddies shot the Chad exclusively. Take a look at them you wont be disappointed!

I will go check them out

I think the "no concussion to the shooter" depends on your frame of reference. I just started running the Chad, coming from a Heathen 5-port, and it's a big increase in concussion. It's not causing a flinch, but with double-pro, I'm not sure yet if it's causing a headache after a day of shooting (bourbon was involved the night before day 1...)

If that's a Heathen Gen2 they have absolutely zero blast to the shooter since the ports are 90 degrees. I have one and it works decent but the MBM reduces recoil more and the blast still goes around the shooter.

They are massive. Where did you order yours since there international?

Been shooting with my area 419 brake which is really nice taming my 300 norma improved but wow what a pop to it with noise. I'm use to suppressor but decided to run brake this year. I'm sure after reading there's better brakes on the loud pop and just being obnoxious.

I ended up buying a new bigger brake and honestly the area 419 brake really holds its own and the ease of leveling is unmatched don't think I will go away from them. I will prolly give the other brake another chance later on but right now area 419 seems to be amazing I guess I shouldn't try to fix something that isn't broken haha

IIRC some people were having issues with them coming loose so just keep an eye on that.

Physics doesn’t agree with you.

Does anyone know where any Chad's or maxi brakes are in stock? .308 or .338 caliber
I don’t know of any larger than .264. I’m pretty sure you can bore them out but I also have not seen a single review of someone using them on larger than 6.5 cal. I know they work amazing one 6.5 and below.

I received my chad brake yesterday and shot it 15 times today just to see how I like it. It sure has a different recoil impulse and took a little getting use to but once I figured it out shooting at 860 yards up hill at a rock the brake would pull me down about .3 ish down and kept wind dead center. I would say as of now its the best brake I've used and it isn't crazy loud. The area 419 brake isn't to far behind but very loud. I will be shooting it alot here soon so I can test it more. All my shooting is elr prone

I've run everything from the MPA DNS 5, Next GEN ECTuner Brake, Area 419 Hellfire to the RecoilX's on a couple of my suppressors all are great brakes. I just recently bought the Botnia MAXI muzzle brake, plan to run it on my & PRC and 300 Norma, will let ya know how it performs. Oh and I meant to add, never have been able to get my hands on a Chad and shoot it or even buy one seems they are always out of stock, which tells ya it must be pretty good.

I didn't really notice the concussion until i shot suppressed, because i had no baseline. It's there with the chad, but i didnt think it was awful. I shot a match with Ken Wheeler in my squad a little while back and he had the botnia. It was cool, not sure it was any better or worse. They (chad-botnia) are LIGHTYEARS better than other options as far as recoil goes.

Me, I'm staying suppressed.

After having the chad brake I will say it does have good recoil reduction and changes the feel of the recoil in a positive way. The concussion was better in my opinion than my area 419 brake and other brakes. I didn't like how big the chad was but not a huge concern. My issue with it is when I shot it would throw me so far right I could barely see my impacts or misses on the left edge of scope. Shot it 500 yards to about 900 yards on 15 power with the scope it was tough. Im not sure why it kept throwing me so far right....... I have other brakes area 419 ja xl pva also my suppressor and ive never once had that issue. Im not saying im the perfect shooter and perfect form but it was odd the chad did that. The maker he didn't offer any insight just need to work on my fundamentals so I sold it. Overall my favorite brake is the area 419 because its so easy. But my ja xl brake is just as good as the chad I think in recoil reduction after testing them.
