How do all these experts not get it that budgets come from taxes paid. College has become a huge unmet expectation. No cause & effect recognition. On purpose, or by design? No work, No taxes.

Living on borrowed money means living on borrowed time.

I'm curious to see how much of the economy rebounds, and how much demand disappears quasi-permanently. The economy has a lot of inertia, and it took a decade to rev it up after the last crash. One could argue that it's been in an over-rev state for a few years due to constant juicing by the Fed, and at the very least I expect that bit of excess performance to be irrecoverable at this time. I don't see too many of those 17 million newly-unemployed going back to work right away.

At the very least, deflation is likely in the short term since we'll probably destroy more money than has been printed, and in an economy fueled by debt, that will be quite painful to work through. Those who are sitting on cash will be happy to see asset prices return to "normal" levels; those paying off debts on assets acquired at peak prices will be somewhat less satisfied with the situation.

Gonna be some interesting times ahead, especially when confidence crashes after the first reoccurrence of the pandemic (might happen a couple months after the reopening, might come next fall or winter, might never come at all).

Open it up! If people get sick, they get sick. Just like we have been since November...

If he opens it up, the democrats will bitch and moan and say hes got “blood on his hands” and go for impeachment (theyre going to anyway). And if he doesnt open it up, we’re all headed for the bread line.

I dont think they will try to impeach again.

But they will "investigate", smear, slander, leak, provide misinformation etc, all the way up to the election.

As bad as "the brains" biden is, IMO he has a good shot of winning.

Wonder what joes chances were before all this started...

It's time to open up certain states ie, Arizona and others that seem to be doing ok. We can still practice social distance as much as possible, hand washing, disinfecting. Old people or people with underlying conditions stay home, everyone else back to work. Keep NY locked down a little longer and other hotspots as well. We will not have a country to go back to if we keep it closed much longer!

Let the States do their job. All the Governors are there for a reason and the Mayors too. Local Gov't should always be more in touch with their own needs. All of us in the "flyover States" have to provide for the heavily populated areas. We have lived social distancing our entire lives. If NYC, NJ, LA, SF, Portland, and Seattle need to stay locked down their local government should be making that call and taking the heat/credit.

Well' the elected officials will protect the illegals and they'll be the only ones left if they have anything to do with it. Just them and the illegals and criminals will reshape America in their new found shit show.
