The Departed was a remake of the film Infernal Affairs directed by Andrew Lau. This was actually a film trilogy. Well worth watching.

"Internal Affairs"- did it have Richard Gere and Anthony Garcia in it?
"The Departed" is one of my all-time favorites. Scorcese chalks up another winner.

Almost everything Dicaprio has been in, in his last 7 or so films have been pretty awesome. Guy is a damn good actor. Movie was brilliant too.

Excellent movie, it reminds me of the real life Boston gang that Whitey Bulger ran until he fled the US after he was tipped off that he was about to be arrested.

I have been repelled by most of Dicaprios movies for a while. This was the first that I will, and have, watched multiple times in a while. Every other movie he has done makes me think of "Whats Eating Gilbert Grape", the only role he ever played well, I assume, since it was not too out of character for him.

Don't forget Shutter Island, seems he has a niche for wanting to be in "great" movies. From watching interviews he likes to work with the best which would explain the great movies coming out. Directors he's working with Christopher Nolan, Ridley Scott, Martin Scorsese, etc. I had forgotten about Body Of Lies, thats one of my favorite movies can watch it no matter how bored i am. I'm also a big Ridley Scott fan though, Gladiator, Black Hawk Down, Body of Lies, all my cup of tea.

I watched Shutter Island twice. Had to pay real close attention to the end just to make sure I was believing the "right" side. Confusing, but very good.

finally watched this. loved it. kept me guessing how it would end. definitely a must see. even the wife liked it

Unless it got cancelled he'll be playing the famous serial killer Dr. H.H. Holmes who lured victims into his hotels or houses that were designed for torture, in the "Devil in the white City". I could seem him being freaky. Kinda reminds me of Jude Law, who normally is a "good guy" but if you've seen "Road to Perdition" he can play a freak pretty damn well lol.
