If your not religious then look at this simply as a beautiful rebind.

My wifes grandfather had his 80th birthday recently, so we sent away his charished bible to 'EA bibles' to be rebound. Alanzo was trained by Diego Coloca of 'Caloca bible rebinds' whom Ive had do two other bibles. Diego was back logged so he sent me to Alonzo.

I dont have the bible in hand but this if the 'Gutenberg Marble Rebind'

Specs:
NASB
Half yap cover
Raised ribs
Gutenberg sakoto goat skin w/lamb skin liner
Two ribons
"Holy Bible" in gold
Name is blind stamped (cause hes humble like that)
And stitched perimiter for added strength.

Ah yes... the finer things in life.

I have one of those new testament pocket bibles the mil passes out. My most prized possession. Read it front/back and have all my favorite verses numbered on the sides of the pages.

We always joke about whose bible looks new, and whose has duct tape on the spine. I suspect that some people ‘’stone wash” their Bible so it looks like they read it a lot more than they do. Honestly, I use youversion most of the time, and rarely carry a paper Bible anymore. I really like being able to change and compare translations.

I thought I had some before pictures of this bible, but I dont. It was one of those duct tape bibles. Thankfully the prosess of rebinding makes for a very strong bible.

The next one ill have sent in was my grandfathers first preaching bible. Also an NASB but one of the origonal 1976 ones. I personaly like NASB but there are plenty of good translations out there. Ill keep that for my personal use, not sure what direction I should go with that one.
