Re: The finished product

Hi for what you want to use it for definatly cut the barrel i would fit a break aswell to the shorter barrel as a defensive rifle it will allow shots to be fired from improvised positions easier and faster follow up shots.

Nice rifle

Re: The finished product

I hear that at 16, I cant own a suppressor..... so I guess I'll have to settle for a flashider (for now at least).

I have thought about doing a bolt modification, but for the price, I can put it towards another rifle (possibly a 1903 modernization project).

I might have to see what AZ Precision can do with some custom metal work.

Krylon, yea, thats a given, I have to figure out wether or not I am going to paint the bottom metal or not also.

Range report

I went out today and sighted my rifle in with some Wolf 150 grain FMJ rounds to get on paper, but did best with Remington 150 grain Core-Loks, Federal 180 grain SP was good, except for the fact of me pulling a flyer. (Yes, I know 5 shots are the standard on here, but I don't have that kind of money to be able to do so, any donations are gratefully accepted).

Smallest group was .942 CTC with the Remington rounds

I am pretty happy with the rifle, considering my low skill level, now once I cut it down, it'll be a nice rifle.
