The Florida UPS shooting thread?

yup...were my family in that blue vehicle, i’da reversed that sucker and exposed every one of those guys putting the family in the cross fire.

As far as judgement to what happened, this is a scene of chaos. Complete and utter. I cant tell who did what to start anything. The only ones i am critical of are the people in cars who just sat there. No me. Rule number 1 in a ambush is GET THE FUCK OUT OF THE KILL ZONE

That you have to shoot because someone is shooting at you.
If you have to shoot at someone, maybe you should take aim first. How about shooting the threat(s) and not some innocent bystander or hostages.

Aside from questions about the strategic merit of a shootout in the middle of busy traffic, look at the tactical jackassery.
Hiding behind a car, sticking your head way above cover/concealment but not using the vehicle as rest for your handgun. Running back and forth while gunning with a AR15. Sorry pal, this isn't a 3 gun match and your are clearly not Todd Jarrett. Then those clowns standing there in the open; to close to be safe, too far to be effective. This does not look like what a police operation should be. This looks like what you see in the 'hood or Haiti. Random, uncontrolled violence with guns.

Talk about lethal tools falling in the wrong hands.

If you are a sworn in officer and not comfortable with a situation like this, then pursue at a safe distance and call in the big boys. The guys who use justified violence like a scalpel, not like a weed whacker. No law forces you to throw yourself in there and make things worse.

As someone mentioned before, there are enough air assets available in that area to keep track of the truck and then cleanly take out the perps in a less precarious spot. This was a fucking robbery plus kidnapping, not a terror attack. Was saving the baubles worth this carnage?

This whole thing started 20 miles away. They were obviously using air assets and waiting. The Truck had made multiple u turns in it's journey when faced with traffic. Then, traffic jam boxed in truck and changed everything. In a few seconds all the planning just went to shit and the chaos began.

I am neither for or against. I want facts. Sometimes the best laid plans of mice and men go to shit. I was not there. If I was a cop I would be glad I was not there.
