Re: The great Bob Munden passed away last night

I heard this earlier and it is just as bad now as it was then. He will be missed and god speed.

Re: The great Bob Munden passed away last night

RIP Bob..
does this mean the title of world's fastest quick draw is up for grabs now?

Re: The great Bob Munden passed away last night

There is only one consolation to this sad news, we can watch him on shooting show reruns for years to come. RIP Bob Munden.

RIP Bob.

St. Peter better move slowly when he reaches for those keys to the Pearly Gates!

Wow that sucks

Wish his family the best. He'll be missed greatly. Amazing what that man could do with any handgun.

Re: The great Bob Munden passed away last night

Man was incredible. Records not likely to be broken. 2/100s of a second for such a complex action is unreal.

Re: The great Bob Munden passed away last night

Man, That guy was GREAT !! Always wanted to meet him. RIP Bob.

Re: The great Bob Munden passed away last night

Had the privilege of meeting him once in Alaska. Very nice and down to earth man that could do amazing things. Watched him fire 5 rounds so fast you couldn't separate the sounds.

He will be missed.

Wish I'd been older and actually realized then how big of deal he was. I just thought he was cool then. I'm awestruck by him now. RIP Bob. Prayers to your family.

Rip Bob. The things that man has seen and done. Amazing. He represented his sport very well.

Re: The great Bob Munden passed away last night

He really was a superman. I have always been awed by his skill level. May God bless his family. Good bye to a great ambassador of the shooting world.

Re: The great Bob Munden passed away last night

I loved watching him shoot. The things he could do made my head hurt. He'll be missed.

Re: The great Bob Munden passed away last night

Someone said "God speed", I'll go along with that. Pretty damned good pun too considering it was for Mr. Munden.

Re: The great Bob Munden passed away last night

First time I saw a video of Bob Munden he said, "I'm the fastest draw that has ever lived."

I said, "Oh shut up you fat old arrogant bastard."

Then I watched.
Then I watched it in slow motion.

Then I yelled to my buddy in the other room, "Hey, come watch the fasted draw that has ever lived."

Re: The great Bob Munden passed away last night

I saw him at a promotion for a gun store in Oakland, Ca. in the early '70s. What stuck in my mind was that everything was a blur. The gun was in the holster and then it was in another place. I simply could not follow the movement. Amazing motor skills.
