The house next to me just sold to a couple from Austin texas

My experience... I had up a Trump sign. Neighbor 2 houses down had up a Biden sign. Both signs came down the day after election. Of all the neighbors, we seem to get along the best. I'll plow snow so the lady can get out to go to work when the man is working out of town. They are appreciative and they help me out.

We found common ground in a conversation a few years ago. When shit goes bad, neither Biden or Trump is going to fly to Montana to save our ass. We will be depending on our neighbors in this rural area.

Laws of Nature / Tribal

Seek common ground with your new neighbors... There is a lot more common ground between Liberals and Conservatives than most people realize.

When my neighbors asked me where I moved from I said “New York, but trust me, we aren’t those people from New York.” I let them sit on that for about two years while I figured out who was on what team around here. I made sure to let those like minded neighbors know I was a team player. I’d say don’t assume everyone from Austin is a liberal but it’s kind of a stacked deck from that area.

At least you know when the shit goes down they will be unarmed so you can freely take from them to feed your family. ;)

The charge/complaint?
Who knows what an attorney could dream up. Causing emotional distress, perhaps. In today's litigious society anything they cna think of to steal money.

"Oh judge I haven slept for weeks, Im so fearful of my neighbor, he has GUNS. I feel so threatened by the sign." In California they'd likely win millions.

@7.62willdo - Never know man, hopefully you'll get lucky.

I'm in commie MD & lucked out with really cool neighbors.
Only 1 small driveway back to our little enclave. We're all well armed deplorable's back here. Anyone tries comming back here to start shit they'd have to pass through the hot gates.

Neighbor stopped my wife today on her way home from the gym. Told her to have me stop by.
He knows I've been shooting matches & when I stopped over he gave me this. Never had any of this, but heard it was good.

Sooooo, what do you drink? Lonestar sucks but Shiner ain't too bad

Sierra Nevada torpedo is good- and can be found about anywhere.

Voodoo Ranger is local- New Belgium Brewery.

I really like the IPAs from Lagunitas Brewery, though “Hopped Stupid” is too far for me. They have a copper ale that is a pretty good ”summer beer.” Had a “hazy wonder ipa” out with friends a couple of weeks ago. It was good enough to garner an instant text recommend to a friend- before I forgot.

I don’t think I have anything bad from Stone Brewery- Ruination is a personal favorite.

Karbach Brewing is also local and they have some good beers, but I couldn't quote one off hand.

I had a “moose drool” brown ale from big sky brewing that was notable for more than the name, though I’m generally not a big fan of brown ales- they can tend toward the too nutty side for my palate.

As the weather turns cooler I am a sucker for a porter or an imperial stout. Devils Canyon Brewery In San Carlos did a small batch chocolate imperial stout that was amazing. Maybe it was that it was 11% ABV, or it was the med-rare porterhouse steak over a bed of garlic/horseradish mashed potatoes that it was paired with. But, they only sold at restaurants or by the ”growler” at the brewery and I never made it out there to get any more.

You‘ll note that there are a lot ot CA beers in the above list. I lived in CA for 3 years. Say what you want about the state, but they know how to brew.

When I’m in the mood I’ll cruise the beer isle at the super market, or hit the liquor store next door. We had a few friends over for dinner a few weeks ago and I bought several sixers of beer I hadn’t had before. 3 were winners, one was kinda meh. But, ”meh” was a winner for everyone else- it was What I’d call an american style lager from karbach, and I’ve forgotten the name.

The above notwithstanding, when I’m not buying, the beer that I prefer to drink is “cold.”

Shiner Bock is what I put in my Borracho Beans and end up drinking the rest of the six pack when they're done.

Lonestar, we didn't know any better and guzzled that swill by the barrels in the 70's while Willie Nelson played in the Jeep 8 track as we skinny dipped in the moonlight in Lake Travis with Mary Jane Rottencrotch..

Lone Star has to be drunk from long necks or it's no good.

Lone Star

It was the go to for breakfast in the 1970's and good for washing the taste of skank out of your mouth.

they're both delicious and are imbibed regularly. They both have their place.

you dont wear shorts to a church wedding, and conversely, you dont need to wear a tux to a BBQ.

lone star red tall boys for the river, lake, concerts, etc.

Shiner in bottles for whatever you deem necessary.

i will say regular Shiner Bock is the best tasting beer after working cattle or filling feeders, or fixing fences in 100 degree weather. hands down.

If you dont think so, you must have been born in Pennsylvania. or Colorado.
