Well, I agree with her on one point. The lengths politicians go to appear perfect in every way is about the most damned ridiculous shit I've ever seen. It's a huge problem, in my opinion.

It means that she is trying to get people to see her as one of them. A “working person” and “poor immigrant”. Not the spoiled little rich girl she really is. It’s virtue signaling.

In the meantime, do you know what I have been doing for the last 10 years? Getting up at all hours of the day/night. Working every possible shift and overtime period. In driving rain, howling wind, brutal cold, blinding snow, sweltering humidity, scorching sun. So that folks can get continuous fresh water running through their pipes. Or so that supermarkets can open for the day with fully stocked shelves and storage. Have I ever complained once? I'll be damned to hell if I did. I do my job and almost always do more than they ask so the folks working after me can get an easier start. Then I refresh with a good old bottle of Jack's. And then do the same thing all over again.
Folks like me do the heavy and dirty work to keep the infrastructure running, the plumbing running and the trucks moving. Do we complain? Do we cry for free handouts? I think we are too busy working to entertain nonsense like that.
What is next? A law saying that if we trip over something at work, the HR rep is going to have to stroke our dicks?
The roads get slippery during rainy days too. Why not stop all the buses, trains and road traffic when it starts to rain? For the children.
Seriously, every time I read the media, I get disgusted. I rather re-read all of the old gun rags for the hundredth time with my morning coffee. At least my brain does not hurt and I do not get the urge to vomit.

There were a MULTIPLE democrats like her that were elected in this last cycle, believe it or not I do not care. Democrats like her almost stole elections in GA and FL and did steal one in AZ, believe it or not I don't care. In case you forgot the reality of the election results from the 2016 campaign:

Yeah, some good points there. It's bizarre dealing with this Orwellian "Think-Speak". Luckily I work freelance and this project is wrapping up. She's certainly on the "do not hire again" list. Unfortunately I work in a very young and liberal industry and snowflakes abound. It makes for some comical situations though. I remember the day after the election. The office was quiet in shocked disbelief. I worked away with a smirk on my face and told them to cheer up and try again in four years.

In this day and age, you have to be cunning, extremely pragmatic and byzantine when dealing with shenanigans at work. Being confrontational and addressing problems face to face does not work in your benefit. Quietly scan for opportunities such as when they make fuck-ups, and hit them from behind.
A while back we hired several new warehouse personnel including an Algerian floor supervisor and two Egyptian stockmen. You can immediately feel the atmosphere in the place change with these 3 new arrivals despite the old crew's attempts to be welcoming and inclusive of them. Within a month, the Algerian guy tried to dock our two oldest and most reliable stock workers on some bullshit that they had never done. I happen to be very acquainted with these two guys so as soon as they told me what happened, I instinctively knew what the fuck was up. Long story short, turns out the Algerian guy was trying to hook up a couple of fellow Habibi market construction sites with premium grade materials and then covering up the costs in our system by voiding the invoices as if they were cancelled, followed by inputting 'damaged item returns' and 'discards' to some of the missing cargo. He most likely thought that having two old school Italian Americans who are quite vocal in voicing their displeasures about various things working the order and supply chain in the place was too risky for his long term success in pulling the scam. After about half a week of pulling the 'fly on the wall' business, there was enough information to confirm what the fuck was going on in the place. I simply waited for him to place his next fraudulent invoice into the system, then from the main office terminal, prematurely closed the day out so the copy of the invoice along with the unpaid balance was saved before he had the chance to edit it on his own leisure. Documented the paperwork with a typewritten letter explaining everything, and then turned everything over right to the big boss the next day. Motherfucker was dropped like a bad habit within hours when the company took an emergency audit and discovered an edited invoice from the not-so-long-past whose figures just did not add up to the stock that we had on the facilities. The poor SOB didn't even know what hit him. It took a slight bit of patience and snooping to pull it off but it paid off big time.

Old superintendent told all of us foremen one time in a meeting we had about an especially bad bunch of people we had hired For a new contract that bosses dont fire people. They fire themselves. It took a lil bit but all of us together looked in on each others crews and gave each other the lowdown on who wasnfuckin up and needed to go. They indeed do fire them selves just have to have a paper trail now adays to avoid going to court with their bullshit

In not sure how applying stuff to your face is “self-care”.
I eat well, focus on my own spirituality by reading the Bible (she should read some in Thessalonians), getting in some fitness (even if its just stairs vs elevator on a busy day, or 10 minutes of stretching), reading something for enjoyment (she should read the Bear Pit), and getting good sleep most of the time.
