RI Governor, another cunt, passed a red flag law as well.
A couple of LEO I shoot with say it faced a lot of criticism from the RI LEO communities due to the danger it places them in when trying to enforce it. I don't think our Governor, cunt that she is, gives a damn about the LEO guys.

These red flag laws violate established laws already on the books, backed up by a number of settled cases, that are ignored by the signers of such.
There are grounds to overturn this bullshit if the 2AF and nra and other funded groups would file....

Proper enforcing of the established laws gives due process and respects the rights of the accused, and these laws were passed to protect both the questionable individual and the public.
The red flag laws dont necessarily do that. Burn up your representatives lines with facts.

The Red flag laws are more insidious than they appear and that is why I am scratching my head. Under the RI red flag law, pretty much anyone can file a complaint. If you are heard saying the wrong thing at the wrong place by the wrong people, you can have a complaint filed. What do you do when the local LEO comes a knocking? 99+% will do nothing. The fraction that may try to fight will get shot and the MSM will paint them to be crazy ass right wing gun nuts. A further validation of why these type of laws are necessary. Even if you end up getting your stuff back, you have suffered an injustice not allowed by the COTUS.
The red flag laws are nothing more than another but more intelligent way to keep the right from speaking their voice for fear of retaliation as unjust and illegal as it may be. You ask us to do something other than sit there. What are the NRA, GOAL and the fucking Department of Justice doing to prevent this travesty of justice? All I hear are crickets. Therefore, I chose to be the man in grey. When I see others band together to fight repression actively, I will be there but until then I ask that you remember that resistance takes many forms.

One important point about this is they are also doing it to make you afraid to stand up for yourself against their Antifa / Communist goons.
The Communist goons can attack you hit you, threaten you and the police do nothing... or at most catch & release.
You take a swing back to defend yourself from the bat wielding Communist thugs... they have their buddies file a complaint on you to get the police to take your guns...
