I was 13 when she told me this joke.

I was her golden grandson.
Could do no wrong in her eyes.
Once, she had an angiogram with a femoral artery sheath placed (1999 or 2000).
I was there after the procedure in recovery and she told me to call the nurse, something was wrong.
Well. Same time there was a code blue 3 doors down and the nurses were VERY busy.
I looked and Grandma, told her “shit just got real, deal with it!” and yanked back the covers and her gown to reveal a fast ooze and rapidly forming hematoma from her femoral artery stick.
Working cardiac ICU, I knew it was serious and grabbed gauze and held pressure. 25 lbs or so.
Hurts like hell and I coached her telling her it was this pain or a lot of the same pain and death to bleed out.
I was already golden in her eyes, that really cemented it though.
Always told everyone after “he is a fearless little shit, yanking back my covers and gown like that, but he saved my old ass!”

Not for this thread, but there is a very big difference between Religion and believing in God. I am more of the latter.
To some a shooting match on Sunday IS. It all depends on the specific club you join. You know this as well as I. I also remember when everything was closed on Sunday.
The kicker is they are all so sure that they are the "true" religion. And all of them are just a tick different from each other, well the "main stream" ones anyway.

I heard that in celebration of Pride Month that Chic-fil-A will be seasoning their waffle fries with salt from Lot's wife.

Working at a cop shop, at least for the next 72hrs, there are one or two gay females here. I have noticed they are not real cool with what they have seen and where this is all going.
