Maggie’s The Pacific

I watched the first show of the Pacific, I guess I was alittle let down. I was hoping for more of what Band of Brothers was. I mean this by, more of an building of who the members of Easy Company 501st in the first show, I was hoping more of that. I have a BS in History and I was real happy to see that the tech end was done well ie. the Marines going to shore with 1903's. The only goof I saw was they were showing some F4U flying in the distince. I see this as a no big deal. For the most part I think it was a 7 out of 10. If they told us more about the Marines were that would of been better.

Just my 2 pennys.

Perhaps they will establish the players in the next episode. Maybe and i havent seen it yet, but maybe the first episode was just supposed to be action just to grab us

I thought it was well made. I did notice that the Marines were using the Remington 1903a3 which is not correct. The Marines were still using the 1903 at this time. This is a minor flaw and in no way diminishes the quality of the production, besides 99.999% of the population would never pick up on this type of crap. Sorry, it's a disease. </div></div>

what was it that we the differance between the Remington and the Springfields. I'm not a 1903 nut so I did not know the differances.

The A3 has a rear sight while the 03 has a ladder sigth in front of the action. I did notice that while watching it. I would have liked a boot camp scene and training in Australia kind of what they did in Band of Brothers
